This document presents the analysis of student representations regarding school coexistence in two educational institutions in Antioquia. Moving beyond traditional approaches focused on behavioral regulation, the study conceives coexistence as a situated social process where power relations, emotions, and cultural constructions converge. School dynamics reflect broader structures where power relations determine the forms of interaction among subjects. Through a systematization of experiences with 92 students and a focal sample of 6 students, timelines, interviews, and field diaries were employed to make student voices visible. The analysis identified central categories such as power relations, gender roles, and the role of education; it is understood that the educator's authority rests on the fact that they assume ethical responsibility towards the other, recognizing the vulnerability of the students. The study seeks to contribute to the transformation of school practices, recognizing students as active subjects in the construction of a more just and humane school. In this sense, the research contributes to academic knowledge and to the transformation of school dynamics that strengthen coexistence as a pedagogical and social horizon.
