El plan lector como herramienta para el desarrollo de los procesos lectores

Resumen
Este artículo presenta la sistematización de la experiencia pedagógica desarrollada en la Institución Educativa Rodrigo Arenas Betancurt (Pereira), centrada en la implementación del Plan Lector institucional entre los años 2023 y 2025 como fase final de un proceso iniciado en 2017. La iniciativa tuvo como propósito fortalecer los procesos lectores y analizar el impacto de los hábitos de lectura en el desarrollo de competencias comunicativas y en los resultados académicos, tanto internos como externos, de los estudiantes de primaria y secundaria. Para ello, se utilizaron técnicas cualitativas y cuantitativas como pruebas estandarizadas (ICFES, PreIcfes, pruebas internas), entrevistas, observaciones, grupos focales y registros institucionales. Los hallazgos evidencian una evolución positiva en velocidad y comprensión lectora, con mejoras significativas en la fluidez, la participación académica y el desempeño general del estudiantado. Esto confirma el impacto positivo de estrategias lectoras estructuradas en el ámbito educativo.
This article presents the systematization of the pedagogical experience developed at the Rodrigo Arenas Betancurt Educational Institution, focused on the implementation of the institutional Reading Plan between 2023 and 2025 as the final phase of a process that began in 2017. The initiative aimed to strengthen reading processes and analyze the impact of reading habits on the development of communicative competencies and the academic performance—both internal and external—of primary and secondary students. Qualitative and quantitative techniques were used, such as standardized tests (ICFES, PreICFES, internal assessments), interviews, observations, focus groups, and institutional records. The findings show a positive evolution in reading speed and comprehension, with significant improvements in fluency, academic engagement, and overall student performance. These results confirm the positive impact of structured reading strategies within the educational context.
