The article analyzed the interdisciplinary intervention process from the perspective of early intervention—neonatal therapy—and the changes that occur in neurobehavior and in parents' ability to care for high-risk newborns hospitalized in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). A qualitative methodology focused on a case study was used, with a sample of ten high-risk newborns (≤ 37 weeks) who received interdisciplinary therapeutic intervention, together with their parents and the team of therapists. The results were organized into three areas: interdisciplinary therapeutic intervention, neurobehavior, and parental involvement. It was concluded that intervention in the NICU promotes the comprehensive development of newborns thanks to a set of actions that involved families.
