Abstract

Abstract This study examines teacher training in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) at Francisco Miranda Educational Institution, focusing on its impact on pedagogical practices. The objective was to design an action plan aimed at strengthening teachers’ digital competencies. The research followed a mixed-methods approach, integrating quantitative and qualitative techniques. Surveys, interviews, focus groups, and document analysis were conducted to identify training needs, levels of ICT use, and teachers’ perceptions regarding their integration into classroom practice. The findings reveal a significant need for continuous training, uneven use of technological tools, and limitations in infrastructure and technical support. Although teachers show positive attitudes toward the use of digital resources, weaknesses persist in their pedagogical integration. Based on these results, an action plan was developed, focused on continuous teacher training, optimization of technological resources, and the promotion of ICT-mediated pedagogical practices. It is concluded that effective ICT integration depends not only on teachers’ competencies but also on the institutional conditions that support their implementation in the educational context. Keywords: teacher training in ICT, technological integration, digital competencies, pedagogical practices, educational management, educational innovation, TPACK model.
