Abstract
In Colombia, eco-sustainable projects have emerged as a response to the need to integrate environmental conservation with social development in rural territories; however, ensuring their continuity after the end of initial institutional investment remains a significant challenge. This study assesses the social and environmental contributions derived from the management carried out by the Corporación Autónoma Regional de Cundinamarca in the municipality of Jerusalén through pilot projects implemented in 2019, considering their current condition five years after execution. The analysis draws on community perception instruments, documentary review, and technical assessment of the implemented interventions. The findings indicate a significant reduction in electricity supply costs at the local educational institution due to the installation of photovoltaic infrastructure, as well as a positive community perception regarding the technologies introduced and their contribution to the territory. Nevertheless, limitations related to specialized maintenance, long-term technical appropriation, and the continuity of regional environmental policies persist, affecting the sustainability of these initiatives and highlighting the importance of strengthening governance mechanisms capable of articulating local rural knowledge with institutional technical support to promote operational continuity and functional replicability under territorial sustainability criteria.
